По мнению уважаемого писателя Hiroshige Goto, работающего для Impress Watch,  Sony рассматривает возможность использования усовершенствованного центрального процессора для PlayStation 4.<br /><br />Далее, автор предполагает, что таким образом усовершенствованный процессор от Sony, будет поддерживать от 10 до 20 ядер (на данный момент их процессор использует только 8 ядер), и сможет похвастаться удвоенной мощностью. Следуя такому плану усовершенствования существующей технологии, в противовес разработке абсолютно нового чипсета, Sony не только обеспечит этим самым эффективную стоимость разработки для самой себя, но и докажет свое превосходство по стоимости производства и разработки софта (так как для разработчиков это будет уже знакомая архитектура), а также по совместимости с предыдущими наработками. Примите к сведению: несмотря на то, что эта информация от достоверного источника, она не подтверждена, и в любом случае PS4 придет к нам только через много лет, даже если это и окажется правдой.<br /><br />Любопытный факт: Между официальным запуском PS2 в марте 2000 и раскрытием тайны о запуске PS3 на выставке E3 2005 прошло приблизительно 1900 дней(около пяти лет). <br /><br /><br />
