В магазинах Best Buy появился Blu-ray плеер Samsung BD-P2550 по цене $499. Как сообщается на сайте Best Buy, новая модель имеет 7.1 аналоговые аудио выходы и популярный видео процессор Silicon Optix HQV. В то же время не сообщается о совместимости с BD-Live, хотя плеер поддерживает подключение к интернет и имеет USB порт. Возможно, Best Buy просто не упомянул об этом, либо функции BD-Live будут доступны после обновления программного обеспечения. Цена в $500 указывает на сегмент, на который рассчитывает компания производитель. Это не смотря на все, хорошо, так как производители Blu-ray плееров могут предложить многофункциональные модели для тех, кто нуждается в премиум функциях и готов при этом доплатить некоторую сумму.
