Как сообщил директор по развитию сети вещания компании MTV Networks, Stefan Liebig, 'MTV ищет партнеров, которые включат новый канал в свои премиум пакеты'. Тестовый сигнал уже доступен со спутника Hot Bird. <br />MTV HD будет  транслироваться в формате 1080i со звуком Dolby 5.1 surround. Программа будет включать в себя записи фестивалей, прямые трансляции концертов и событий, таких как MTV Video Music Awards и MTV Europe Music Awards. А на выходных также будут появляться программы от Nickelodeon.        <br />
