В производство, которое будет находиться в Японии, инвестировано уже $2,8 млрд. <br /><br />О намерении компании приступить к производству электролюминесцентных (OLED) панелей (и телевизоров) стало известно в апреле текущего года. В июне появилась информация о том, что Panasonic всерьез рассматривает возможность выхода на рынок OLED-телевизоров и планирует выпустить 37-дюймовую модель в уже течение 3 лет. Позже представители компании сообщили, что компания действительно работает над этой технологией, но пока не имеет как-либо планов по коммерциализации, ни панелей, ни телевизоров. <br /><br />Напомним, что с 1 октября 2008 г. компания Matsushita будет переименована в Panasonic. <br />
