QPC Lasers делает ставку на лазерные ТВ

Компания QPC Lasers объявила о завершении первой стадии разработок лазерных телевизоров, оговоренной в контракте, заключенного с азиатским электронным производителем. По словам компании, RGB лазеры успешно прошли тестирование на производительность. После выполнения контракта компания получит $12 миллионов.

По словам QPC, полная стоимость контракта может в конечном итоге оставить $230 миллионов за 10 лет.

"QPC занимается разработкой более дешевых и обеспечивающих гораздо лучшее качество изображения телевизоров большого формата. Технологии нового поколения призваны придти на смену неэффективным источникам света. Вместо них будут использоваться энергоэффективные, яркие, экономичные и компактные лазеры," - заявил со-основатель QPC Джефри Унгар. "Использование уникальных лазерных технологий от QPC вместо LED, OLED и других низкокачественных и неэффективных источников света позволит потребителям насладиться более широкой и полной цветовой гаммой, четкими, яркими и живыми цветами, чем предлагают современные LCD или плазменные панели," - продолжил доктор Унгар.
