Цены на Blu-ray плееры снижаются

По мнению тайваньских производителей, средние цены на Blu-ray плееры могут упасть до $329 уже к первому кварталу 2009.

Компания Samsung Electronics в настоящий момент предлагает свои плееры BD-P1500 на тайваньском рынке по цене $750. Во втором полугодии LG Electronics планирует выпустить недорогие модели Blu-ray плееров, цена на которые составит $655. Тайваньская компания HiPlus также планирует выпустить Blu-ray плееры под собственной маркой по цене $554. По словам источников рынка, подобная ситуация в Тайване может спровоцировать ценовую войну.

До настоящего времени японские производители (Sony, Sanyo Electric и NEC) доминировали на рынке по объемам поставок DSP чипов, используемых для обработки цифровых сигналов, которые являются ключевым компонентом BD плееров. Однако с появлением на рынке тайваньских производителей конкуренция усилится, а цены на DSP чипы начнут снижаться.

По причине растущей конкуренции, цены на Blu-ray плееры могут снизиться до $492 уже к концу этого года. Во втором квартале 2009 года цены упадут до $328.
