Stormrise: инновация во всем SEGA Europe объявляет о начале работы над первым консольным проектом жанра RTS для студии The Creative Assembly (создатели Total War)

Stormrise предлагает поклонникам классических игр жанра RTS полный эффект присутствия и драматическое развитие событий. Новая способность управлять войсками непосредственно на передовой, то есть, постоянно находиться в самой гуще событий, обеспечит незабываемые ощущения от реальности происходящего на поле битвы. А так называемая «вертикальная» система управления, предоставляющая уникальную возможность задействовать боевые единицы на земле, в воздухе, на крышах зданий, и даже под землей, разнообразит тактический рисунок игры. Более того, эффективная система управления, созданная специально для игры на консолях, позволит легко переключаться между боевыми единицами, использовать быструю навигацию и точное развертывание.

«Мировая популярность серии Total War доказывает, что студия The Creative Assembly по праву является лидером в производстве игр жанра RTS для персональных компьютеров», комментирует проект Stormrise директор по маркетингу SEGA Europe Гэри Найт. «В тоже время новая игра студии, разрабатываемая специально для консолей, предложит совершенно новый уровень накала страстей и благодаря новой системе управления позволит взглянуть на игры жанра RTS совершенно по-новому».

Игра Stormrise повествует о борьбе двух рас, Echelon и Sai, стремящихся выжить во враждебной и непригодной для жилья земле некогда пережившей ужасную катастрофу. Высокотехнологическая раса Echelon выжила благодаря креагенной заморозке, в то время как более привилегированная, но менее развитая каста Sai, пережила катастрофу на себе и была вынуждена приспосабливаться к новой окружающей среде самостоятельно. Новая суровая действительность еще больше усилила враждебность двух рас и теперь судьба планеты висит на волоске.

Игра Stormrise разрабатывается студией The Creative Assembly Australia. Премьера намечена на 2009 год.
