Blu-Ray еще не умер, как могли бы подумать некоторые. Мало того, впервые за всё время существование формата, уровень продаж Blu-Ray проигрывателей превысил достижения обычных DVD. Все указывает на то, что потребители наконец-то «проснулись» и поняли, что рынок больше сюрпризов не принесет – пора бы уже обзавестись проигрывателем. Продажи Blu-Ray в апреле троекратно превысили число проданных проигрывателей форматов Blu-Ray и HD DVD в январе месяце.

Причины столько неожиданного рывка количества проданных устройств указывают на то, что покупатели телевизоров, поддерживающих HD, поняли, что война форматов закончилась, а цены на проигрыватели спустились до приемлемых величин.
Уровень продаж наконец-то вырос, опередив DVD

Продажи могут увеличиваться и дальше по мере снижения производителями цен на технику.
