Объявили о создании продолжении хита Guitar Hero3 – игре, благодаря которой некоторые музыканты «продают» свои синглы большими количествами, нежели в iStore (самом крупном онлайн-магазине Америки).
Итак, четвертая часть гитарного симулятора получила название Guitar Hero: World Tour. «Мировой тур» представляет из себя не только гитарный-симулятор, но и симулятор барабанов, а так же игру, в которой вы сможете похвастаться своим вокалом.

Как и игра Rock Band, Guitar Hero4 будет продаваться в комплекте с барабанной установкой, гитарой и микрофоном.

Activision выпустит Guitar Hero: World Tour уже в этом году. Особенностями игры называют беспроводную барабанную установку, которая будет включать три «барабана» - звук зависит от того, как вы ударили по барабанам; две «тарелки», а так же педаль для «бочки»; гитара скорее всего будет содержать более, чем 5 кнопок на грифе; так же в комплект входит микрофон.

Среди прочих особенностей – режим Music Studio, в котором игроку дадут возможность создать собственные мелодии, а потом поделиться ими со всеми друзьями через интернет. Помимо этого будет режим для восьми игроков под названием «Battle of the Bands» в онлайн-версии и для оффлайного веселья.

Особенностью всей игровой ритм-серии Gutar Hero являются музыкальные хиты разных лет. Пока список представленных музыкальных команд представлен Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles и Sublimе – он конечно не окончательных, будем ждать подробностей.

По предварительной информации в продаже появится несколько вариантов комплектов: так $189.99 будет стоить «Band Kit», включающий полный комплект инструментов; «Guitar Kit» за рубежом будут продавать за $99.99 – здесь только гитара входит в комплект. Отдельно диск с игрой будет стоить $59.99. Дата выхода – 27 октября 2008 года.
