На международном симпозиуме, семинаре и выставке «Общество воспроизведения информации» (Society for Information Display, SID), которая проходит в Лос-Анджелесе, компания Samsung анонсировала первый в мире 82″ LCD-телевизор с ультравысоким разрешением 3840×2160 и частотой 120 Гц. Насыщенность цветов данного дисплея составляет 150 % по сравнению со стандартным значением NTSC.

Так же на этой выставке Samsung представит 82″ мультисенсорный экран (разрешение 3840×2160, частота — 60 Гц), призванный заменить презентационные доски и проекторы.

Так же компания продемонстрирует 3D-экран, не требующий специальных очков, 2,3″ экран, использующий технологию электронных чернил на базе углеродных нанотрубок и проч.
