Японские производители электроники JVC и Kenwood объявили о намерении произвести слияние, в результате которого будет сформирована новая холдинговая компания - JVC Kenwood Holdings. Объединение компаний, направленное на укрепление конкурентоспособности и сокращения производственных издержек, планируется осуществить 1 октября 2008 г., передает Reuters. <br /><br />Новая компания, тем не менее, будет значительно меньше своих некоторых конкурентов. Так, за прошедший финансовый год, окончившийся 31 марта 2008 г., суммарный объем продаж JVC и Kenwood составил 824 млрд. иен ($8 млрд.) – меньше 1/10 дохода, полученного за аналогичный период японской корпорацией Matsushita. <br /><br />Компания Kenwood известна автомобильной электроникой, JVC выпускает телевизоры, видеоплееры, видеокамеры и домашние кинотеатры. <br /><br />В планах компаний – достичь операционной прибыли JVC Kenwood Holdings к концу марта 2011 г., равной 39 млрд. иен, с 9,6 млрд. иен операционной прибыли, полученной за минувший финансовый год. <br /><br />В рамках слияния каждая акция JVC будет обменена на две акции JVC Kenwood Holdings, а каждая акция Kenwood – на одну акцию. Председателем нового образования станет текущий председатель Kenwood Харуо Кавахара (Haruo Kawahara), президентом – текущий президент JVC Кунихико Сато (Kunihiko Sato).<br />
