Денек выдался, как и следовало ожидать, ажиотажным. <br /><br />GTA IV уверенно побила все предыдущие рекорды по количеству проданных копий за первые сутки и затмила рекорд San Andreas, установленный 29 октября 2004 года. Тогда за сутки продано было 501 тыс. копий игры для PS2.<br /><br />Общее количество проданных копий GTA IV для Xbox 360 и PS3 составило 609 тыс. экземпляров.<br /><br />По платформам:<br /><br />Xbox 360 - 335 тыс. Предыдущий рекорд принадлежал у Halo 3 - 266 тыс. копий за первый день продаж.<br /><br />PlayStation 3 - 274 тыс. копий GTA IV, против предыдущего рекорда в 80 тыс., принадлежавшего Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.<br /><br />Итак, как видно из первых результатов, пока все прогнозы аналитиков, предсказывавших невероятную популярность четвертой части GTA полностью оправдываются.
