Несколько дней назад CyberLink сообщила о выходе новой версии PowerDVD, предназначенной для качественного воспроизведения фильмов. Начиная с этой версии, программа не будет обладать поддержкой одного из видеоформатов высокой четкости. Как можно догадаться, речь идет о HD DVD.

CyberLink лишь приняла общее решение киноиндустрии. Компания решила не тратить свои ресурсы на поддержку формата, у которого нет будущего, усилия будут направлены на улучшение воспроизведения формата Blu-ray. Так что 8 версия PowerDVD должна принести новое качество владельцам дисководов Blu-ray.

Людям, имеющим фильмы в формате HD DVD, не стоит принимать решительных действий, ведь для их просмотра всегда можно воспользоваться DVD Suite 6 Ultra и программами, находящимися в комплекте. Очень сомнительно, что поддержка HD DVD вскоре прекратится.
