После временного сотрудничества компания продает около 23 млн. акций стоимостью в 1 млрд. долларов.<br /><br />Почему Philips распродает свои акции, тем самым уменьшая их долю в LG.Display с 44.6%  до 19.9%, особенно когда каждый ищет партнера, остается загадкой. Возможно, вместо LG она решила временно поддержать Toshiba.
