Компания Philips представила свой новый плоский LCD телевизор EcoTV, требующий значительно меньших затрат электроэнергии. Данная модель основана на технологии Ambilight, которая изначально была призвана добавлять дополнительную подсветку вокруг телевизора. Теперь Ambilight отвечает за уровень подсветки и за регулировку яркости в соответствии с ней.

Как утверждают в компании Philips, данная экономия энергии никак не скажется на качестве изображения.

Этот телевизор потребляет всего 0.15В в режиме standby, использует компоненты, свободные от свинца и огнестойкие материалы. Модель имеет размер дисплея 42'', поддерживает разрешение 1080p, технологию Pixel Plus HD, четыре HDMI и встроенные незаметные колонки.

Новинка поступит в продажу на территории Великобритании в июне по цене около £1,100.
