Для пользователей, желающих иметь «всеядный» современный привод оптических дисков, компания LG Electronics предложила новый внешний комбо-драйв, поддерживающий как формат Blu-ray, так и HD DVD. Отметим, несмотря на пессимистические отзывы аналитиков о будущем такого типа устройств, корейский производитель уже давно испытывает любовь к гибридным плеерам. Например, на недавно прошедшей CES 2008 LG продемонстрировала сразу три модели приводов с поддержкой обоих форматов DVD второго поколения.

CeBIT 2008: внешний Blu-ray/HD DVD привод от LG


Новинка, которую компания привезла на выставку CeBIT 2008, получила имя LG BE06LU. Новый привод умеет записывать однослойные диски BD-R на скорости до 6x, а также одно- и двухслойные перезаписываемые Blu-ray (BD-RE) на скорости до 2x. Кроме того, LG BE06LU поддерживает чтение HD DVD на скорости до 3x.

Конечно, предусмотрена работа и с традиционными DVD-дисками, а также CD. Так, в числе поддерживаемых режимов работы отмечается запись дисков DVD+/-R на скорости до 16x, DVD+/-R DL – 4x, DVD-RW – 6x, DVD+RW – 8x, DVD-RAM – 5x, CD-R – 40x, CD-RW – 24x. Также отмечается реализация технологии Lightsribe.

По данным источника, модель LG BE06LU уже поступила на рынок Европы, где её цена составляет около 400 евро.
