Компания Paramount сообщила, что Dream Works Animation, ее дочерняя компания, также как и Paramount решила отказаться от использования формата HD DVD.  <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-03/1204575828_paramount_logo.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Paramount отменяет запланировaнные релизы на HD DVD' title='Paramount отменяет запланировaнные релизы на HD DVD' /></div><br />“Bee Movie”- единственный фильм, который компания Dream Works Animation планировала выпустить на HD DVD, но в настоящий момент релиз этого фильма отменен. <br /><br />Спустя недели неопределенности, компания Paramount заявила, что последними фильмами, которые она выпустит на HD DVD будут “В диких условиях” и “То, что мы потеряли”.<br /><br />Хотя студия еще не делала официального заявления о том, что она отменила все ранее запланированные релизы на HD DVD, представитель компании заявил, что после  фильмов “В диких условиях” и “То, что мы потеряли”, которые выйдут на HD DVD на следующей неделе, релизов  в этом формате компания выпускать не намерена. <br /><br />Согласно статье, недавно вышедшей на страницах газеты The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount собирается начать релиз фильмов на Blu-ray этим  летом. <br /><br />В начале весны Paramount и Dream Works планировали выпустить около 6 фильмов на HD DVD, которые в данный момент  отменены. Среди них:<br /><br />25 марта - 'The Jack Ryan Collection,' 'The Kite Runner'<br />1 апреля - <a href="http://hdtv.ru/2008/02/03/suini_todd_demonparikmakher_s_flitstrit__sweeney_todd_the_demon_barber_of_fleet_street.html" >Sweeney Todd</a>: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'<br />15 апреля -  <a href="http://hdtv.ru/cinema_music/moviesplay/3661-neft-there-will-be-blood.html" >There Will Be Blood</a><br /><br />Хотя компания Paramount подчеркнула тот факт, что ее решение не повлияло на релизы, запланированные DreamWorks Animation, на самом деле, согласно Video Reporting, Dream Works Animation также отменила предстоящий релиз Bee Movie.
