По неподтвержденной информации Toshiba готовится к началу использования приводов Blu-ray в своих ноутбуках, несмотря на свои прошлые заявления о том, что компания никогда не будет заниматься производством одноформатных Blu-ray плееров.
Toshiba может переключиться в синий лагерь – вместе со своими оптическими приводами для ноутбуков

Видимо, Toshiba все еще рассматривает свою дальнейшую стратегию, связанную с форматом высокой четкости для своих ноутбуков. И очень интересно будет посмотреть, на каком решении компания в итоге остановится. Если Toshiba будет заинтересована в получении HD контента с помощью других форматов, тогда можно предположить, что компания попробует пойти в обход использования Blu-ray на ноутбуках и будет оснащать модели более емкими card ридерами и жесткими дисками.
Напомним, что до этого Toshiba проделала серьезный объем работы по оснащению большой серии своих ноутбуках приводами HD DVD.
