Модель классом пониже  TX-NR646 - это 7.2-канальный ресивер в серебристом или черном корпусе. NR646 может развивать выходную мощность по 160 Вт на канал, в то время как NR747 обеспечивает по 175 Вт на канал и имеет сертификацию THX Select 2 Plus, что гарантирует минимальные искажения при нормальной громкости. Оба ресивера оснащены 32-битными DSP и новым ЦАП AK4458 от Asahi Kasei на 384 кГц/32 бит.<br /><br />Обладая декодерами звука нового поколения, ресиверы выделяются также восемью входами HDMI 2.0а, с поддержкой видео 4K/60 Гц, есть два мульти-зонных выхода HDMI с поддержкой технологии HDCP 2.2.
