Это может произойти в ближайшее время. Американская компания QD Vision представила новый вариант технологии, которая должна позволить отображать расширенную цветовую палитру ЖК мониторам и другим дисплеям.<br /><br />Обновленная фирменная технология Color IQ от QD Vision использует оптическую систему толщиной 2 мм, прежняя конструкция была толщиной 3 мм. Дальнейшее совершенствование системы подсветки на квантовых точках позволит создавать супер тонкие дисплеи, которые смогут конкурировать по этому параметру с OLED дисплеями. <br /><br />QD Vision также утверждает, что "квантовые телевизоры" дешевле в производстве, чем OLED-ы, и позволяют обеспечить впечатляющее изобраражение с отображением примерно 1 млн. цветов. <br /><br />Пока еще неизвестно, когда технология квантовых точек получит повсеместное распространение в домашних дисплеях, тем более, что есть у нее и конкуренты. А все преимущества в воспроизведении цвета имеют значение лишь при воспроизведении соотвествующим образом произведенного контента (с поддержкой расширенной цветовой палитры).
