Количество новых OLED телевизоров LG может оказаться меньше первоначально запланированного объема на 100000 штук. <br /><br />Последние сообщения относительно OLED телевизоров носят противоречивый характер и в основном связаны с корейской компанией LG, как единственным сегодня реальным производителем таких телевизоров. Ранее в этом месяце LG Display сообщала о невозможности удовлетворить растущий спрос на OLED телевизоры, в силу непредвиденных обстоятельств. Потом Korea Times сообщила, о том что увеличения продаж не предвидится. Конкуренция со стороны новых ЖК телевизоров с технологией Quantum Dot и все еще недостаточно высокая производительность производственных линий по выпуску OLED панелей сверхвысокого разрешения. Ранее компании понадобился почти год, чтобы наладить выпуск Full HD панелей с достаточно приемлемой себестоимостью производства. <br /><br />Себестоимость выпуска Full HD OLED телевизоров в настоящее время достигла уровней, сравнимых с ЖК моделями, но продажи снизились, что обусловлено конкуренцией со стороны ЖК телевизоров с технологией Quantum Dot. Такие ЖК телевизоры сверхвысокого разрешения являются в 2015 году и прямыми конкурентами Ultra HD OLED телевизорам, пока себестоимость выпуска OLED панелей высокого разрешения остается достаточно высокой.
