После некоторой задержки, DTS представила конкурента Dolby Atmos - собственный вариант новой системы объемного звучания -  DTS:X.<br /><br />DTS: X также использует объектно-ориентированную аудио технологию. Звук не привязан к аудиоколонкам а перемещается в пространстве вокруг слушателя. DTS:X поддерживает до 32 акустических позиций и будет поддерживать до 11.2 выходных аудио каналов на первых домашних продуктах. DTS:X также имеет обратную совместимость со всеми существующими системами DTS.<br /><br />DTS:X уже этим летом появится в кинотеатрах и домашней аудио продукции. DTS говорит, что почти 90 процентов производителей намерены интегрировать технологию в свои изделия. <br /><br />• Denon - AVR-X7200W доступен уже сейчас / DTS:X за счет обновления прошивки в конце 2015 года<br />• Интегра - запускает несколько моделей к осени 2015 года<br />• Marantz - AV8802 уже доступен / DTS: X за счет обновления прошивки в конце 2015 года<br />• Onkyo - запуск нескольких моделей к осени 2015 года<br />• Pioneer - готовится к выпуску новых моделей<br />• Steinway Lyngdorf - P200 процессор объемного звучания - доступен с лета 2015 года / обновленная прошивка с DTS:X выйдет осенью 2015 года<br />• Theta Digital Casablanca IVa - доступны летом 2015 года<br />• Trinnov Audio Altitude32 - доступны уже сейчас / DTS:X за счет обновления прошивки летом 2015 года<br />• Yamaha - выпускает модели с DTS:X осенью 2015 года<br /><br />Предполагается, что формат DTS:X также будут поддерживать новые Ultra HD Blu-ray плееры, которые ожидаются в конце 2015 года.
