Он включает в себя все спецификации HDMI 2.0, но также поддерживает еще и канал метаданных HDR, которые будут необходимы для просмотра соответствующего видео UHD / 4K с HDR.<br /><br />Отметил, тем не менее, что нововведения касается лишь чипсетов HDMI. Новое поколение микросхем HDMI 2.0a будет интегрировано в некоторых устройства (например, будущие плееры UHD Blu-Ray) для поддержки метаданных HDR. Это означает, что если устройство использует набор микросхем HDMI 2.0 или ниже, они не смогут поддерживать  HDR. Это касается Blu-ray, медиаплееров, ресиверов, телевизоров, проекторов и пр.<br /><br />Но для кабелей ничего не меняется! Таким образом, все имеющиеся скоростные кабели HDMI смогут передать поток с метаданными HDR. Как правило, рекомендуют кабели HDMI с минимальной пропускной способностью 18 Гб /с  для передачи UHD / 4K. К сожалению, вероятно, те кто успел купить телевизор с с HDMI 2.0, не смогут смотреть видео с HDR ... конечно, когда оно будет доступно.<br /><br />А HDMI 2.0a  будет обратно совместимо с HDMI 2.0. То есть, аудио и видео передача будет проходить без  метаданных HDR. Поэтому теперь мы должны  убедиться, что приобретаемый для домашнего театра ресивер включает в себя чипсет HDMI 2.0a ... конечно, если у вас будет телевизор с поддержкой HDR.
