За этой технологией стоит консорциум, который включает более 20 крупных игроков на сегодняшнем рынке. Отметим только лишь Broadcom, Европейский вещательный союз (EBU), Hitachi Data Systems, Intel и Sky. Разработка и тестирование велись в течение более пяти лет и привели к созданию системы более эффективного сжатия видео, даже в сравнении с HEVC. В сравнительных испытаниях Персей оказался в 2 - 3 раза более эффективным, чем H.264, JPEG2000 и HEVC.<br /><br />Если заявленные претензии по поводу производительности будут доказаны на практике, эта новая технология сжатия видео позволяет вдвое повысить реальную скорость передачи данных, сообщил Guido Meardi, генеральный директор и основатель V-Nova.
