Но для этого формата пока нет официально утвержденного стандарта и, по крайней мере, пять различных групп производителей разрабатывают технологию HDR по своему усмотрению для своих UHD TV. Philips одним из первых, еще пару лет назад, объявил о разработке телевизоров с расширенным яркостным (динамическим) диапазоном. <br />Сегодня понятно, что потребуется обновление стандарта HDMI 2.0 для приема 4K телевизорами видео с поддержкой HDR.<br /><br />О возможности в будущем воспроизведения видео с HDR на экранах новых телевизоров Philips заявил, специалист компании TP Vision Danny Tack. Потребуется обновление HDMI 2.0 для поддержки расширенного динамического диапазона. Используя термин "HDMI 2.0a" для описания спецификации, Tack пояснил, что новая версия HDMI необходима для обнаружения метаданных HDR, которые встроены в видеопоток и позволяют отображать на экране созданное в формате HDR видео. Для поддержки воспроизведение HDR в ряде телевизоров Philips компания представит обновленное программное обеспечение.<br /><br />Не стоит путать HDMI 2.0a с "HDMI 2.0 Уровень А», который был использован в технических публикациях для представления специализированного чипа для интерфейса HDMI 2.0 с пропускной способностью 18 Гб/c, позволяющего принимать видео с разрешением 3840 &#215; 2160 при кадровой частоте 60 Гц / 50 Гц и цветовом разрешение 4:4:4. Некоторые 4K устройства могут поддерживать только максимальную 8-битную насыщенность, цвет 4:2:0, 4K60p / 4K50p – этот вариант называется "HDMI 2.0 Уровень B".<br /><br />Компания TP Vision провела в Барселоне сравнительную демонстрацию на экранах 4K / Ultra HD телевизоров с поддержкой и без поддержки HDR одних и тех же роликов. Которые на сверхярком экране выглядели впечатляюще. <br />В ближайшее время позиции телевизоров Philips на рынке будут серьезно усилены с выпуском новой флагманской модели из серии 9000. Она будет использовать полномасштабный массив прямой светодиодной подсветке с локальным затемнением. Этот телевизор впервые будет показан на выставке IFA 2015 в сентябре.<br />
