Sony по-прежнему рассматривает их как весьма изменчивые со "сложной конкурентной средой». Однако, компания будет "уделять самое первоочередное внимание сокращению рисков и обеспечению прибыли в деятельности своих предприятий".<br /><br />Sony объявила о своей "среднесрочной стратегии» на предстоящие три года. Новый план должен помочь Sony завершить тяжелую для японского гиганта полосу в несколько лет. По данным Reuters, инвесторы уже отреагировали на усилия по реструктуризации компании в течение последних 12 месяцев, этот процесс ускорился после назначения нового главного финансового директора  Кеничиро Йошида. В результате, стоимость акций компании Sony в прошлом году выросла почти на 50 процентов.<br /><br />Президент Sony Казуо Хираи намерен сохранить этот импульс развития, так что компания планирует увеличить операционную прибыль в 25 раз в течение трех лет. Но по результатам завершающегося финансового года у Sony опять убытки, хотя они и ниже, чем в предыдущие годы.<br /><br />Sony хочет сосредоточить усилия на том, что у нее лучше всего получается и где у компании сегодня есть преимущества над конкурентами. Одной из таких сфер является производство датчиков изображения для фото и видеокамер. Целью компании является повышение качественных возможностей при расширении исследований и разработок.<br />По ряду причин этого уже нельзя однозначно говорить о телевизорах. Хотя, не так давно были времена, когда все покупатели считали, что лучшие телевизоры - это Sony Trinitron.<br /><br />Игры и сетевые услуги - еще одна сфера особых интересов Sony. Компания намерена увеличить количество пользователей для этих продуктов. Ранее в этом году, Sony объявила, что отказывается от развития сервиса Music Unlimited  и партнерства со Spotify и переносит сервис потоковой музыки на PSN и PlayStation 4.<br /><br />Sony планирует более тщательно выбирать территории и типы продукции для развития, стремясь "ограничить капитальные вложения и создать бизнес-структуру, способную обеспечить стабильную прибыль". По видимому, Sony пока останется на мобильном и телевизионном рынках, хотя и с потенциальной возможностью снижения своего присутствия.
