Но идея изогнутого дисплея, как правило, связана с вогнутым экраном. Sharp поступает наоборот и предлагает первый выпуклый изогнутый дисплей. Идея может вызвать недоумение, но сфера его использования очень специфична. ЖК экран  на 60" выполнен с кривизной 150 °, что соответствует радиусу 500 мм. Такой дисплей показывает достигнутые технологами возможности ЖК технологии, которая становится все более и более универсальной.<br /><br />Предполагается, что выпуклый экрана пригодится в первую очередь в рекламно-информационных системах (Digital Signage). Эффект кривизны идеально подходит для установки дисплеев в виде колонн. В отдельных случаях, установка традиционного монитора или телевизора не создаст такого эффекта, как выпуклый дисплей, который виден под разными ракурсами.<br />
