Если кратко, данная серия телевизоров относится к Ultra HD ЖК дисплеям с полным массивом излучателей прямой светодиодной подсветки. Используется технология локального затемнения Ultra Local Dimming, которая существенно отличается от других подобных систем. Многие их них также используют полный массив локального затемнения, но страдают от эффекта ореолов, которые создаются вокруг ярких движущихся объектов. Ореолы возникают из-за того, что полям локального затемнения (то есть области, свечение которых может управляться независимо друг от друга) обычно не хватает точного контроля яркости или они могут находиться только в состоянии включено / выключено.<br /><br />AX900 управляет массивом подсветки с локальным затемнением по зонной структуре  5 х 5, в отличие от обычного 3 х 3. Уровень яркости каждого поля регулируется чрезвычайно точным образом, не просто вкл / выкл. Результат выражается в плавных движениях объектов, высоком коэффициенте контрастности, богатом, глубоком черном цвете и очень точной градации, что повышает детальность даже в темных сценах.<br /><br />Платформа смарт-ТВ управляется новым четырехъядерным процессором PRO5, поддерживаются все новые стандарты: HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 и декодер HEVC.<br /><br />55" Panasonic AX900 стоит 4499 евро а 65" модель 5199 евро. В России сегодня доступен лишь 65AXR900 и 85-дюймовая модель, которой присвоен несколько иной номер в серии из-за отличий в основных спецификациях ЖК панели - Panasonic VIERA TX-85XR940.
