Серия LG UC970 будет производиться с 55- и 65-дюймовыми экранами, с разрешением Ultra HD и с поддержкой интеллектуальной платформы WebOS.<br /><br />Телевизоры работают под управлением новой платформы LG WebOS, легко управляемой с помощью пульта Magic Remote. LG пытается вывести смарт-телевизоры на следующую ступень развития, предлагая операционную системы WebOS, которая используется в телевизорах компании с начала этого года и обеспечивает простой и интуитивно понятный пользовательский интерфейс, основанный на всплывающих вдоль нижней части экрана иконок приложений, которые запускаются и работают более оперативно, чем на других сматр-ТВ. LG также отмечает использование здесь более мощной встроенной аудиосистемы, созданной в сотрудничестве с компанией Harman Kardon.<br /><br />В этом Ultra HD телевизоре LG реализовала интерфейс HDMI 2.0 для подключения 4K плееров, а также декодер HEVC, который необходим для приема из сети цифрового видео сверх высокого разрешения, например, Netflix 4K. Другие функции включают в себя пассивную 3D технологию (Cinema 3D) и воспроизведение мультимедийных файлов с внешних носителей.<br /><br />LG UC970 будет продаваться в Европе и на Ближнем Востоке в виде 55- и 65-дюймовых моделей под названием 55UC970V и 65UC970V.
