Вместо этого, Sony хочет уделить больше внимания продажам игровых консолей PlayStation и сетевых услуг.<br /><br />До наступления эры плоскопанельных телевизоров, долгие годы разные модели телевизоров Sony пользовались особой популярностью у покупателей. Но с плоскопанельными телевизорами компания никак не может наладить эффективное прибыльное производство.<br /><br />Во время пресс-конференции посвященной квартальным показателям компании, Sony объявила, что практически каждый квартал телевизионный бизнес приносил компании убытки. И это несмотря на то, что выпускаемый ассортимент в последние годы был серьезно сокращен.<br /><br />К сожалению, это не принесло достаточных результатов и поэтому в 2015 году Sony продолжит урезать свою линейку телевизоров. Останутся лишь самые востребованные покупателем - по большей части это модели высшего класса. <br /><br />Sony планирует сокращать не только выпуск телевизоров, но и смартфонов, с тем чтобы добиться прибыльных показателей, даже если продажи сократятся до 30 процентов. Смартфоны Sony Xperia продаются пока не настолько хорошо, как ожидала японская компания. Sony заявила что целью для подразделений телевизоров и смартфонов является выход на прибыльные показатели.<br /><br />Компания также не планирует возобновлять свой спонсорский контракт с международной футбольной федерацией (FIFA).<br /><br />В соответствии с новым трехлетним планом, Sony намерена увеличить продажи игровых консолей на четверть - до 1,6 трлн. иен ($ 13,6 млрд). <br /><br />Другим локомотивом бизнеса Sony должно стать производство датчиков изображения, компания планирует увеличить их продажи на 70 процентов, сразу до 1,5 трлн. иен. Датчики изображения Sony сегодня ставятся в айфоны, их все чаще выбирают для своих смартфонов и китайские производители.
