Благодаря SHVC Encode можно конвертировать HD видео в 4K, увеличивая «вес потока» только на 10 Мбит/c, в сравнении с алгоритмом кодирования в формате MPEG-2.<br /><br />Оптимизация данных стало возможной благодаря новым алгоритмам, способным предсказывать перемещение и появление размытия в фоне изображения, с целью определения наиболее приоритетных четко фокусированных областей с минимальной динамикой, так как они вносят наибольший вклад в видимую общую детальность изображения.<br /><br />Toshiba планирует внедрить свое решение для кодирования видео до 2020 года, когда в Токио будет проходить Олимпиада.
