L9400 станет флагманом текущего модельного ряда, обладая возможностью воспроизведения более глубоких уровней черного цвета, а L8400 будет более дешевой альтернативой, которую возможно купить за $1599.<br /><br />Первоначально представленные на выставке CES в январе, новые  Ultra HD телевизоры Toshiba в настоящее время продаются в США по ценам намного ниже, чем первоначально объявленные. L9400 является самым дорогим с подсветкой из полного массива светодиодов, он способен локально затемнять зоны на экране телевизора для воспроизведения более глубокого черного цвета. L9400 выпускается с 65-дюймовым экраном в современного вида элегантном корпусе.<br /><br />Кроме того, L9400 использует несколько технологий видеообработки Toshiba и поддерживает интерфейс HDMI 2.0, который необходим для подключения внешних 4K источников, а также декодирование HEVC, которое необходима для приема из сети и эфира видео в разрешении 4K. LE9400 также поставляется с фирменной платформой Smart TV, с такими приложениями, как YouTube. Тем не менее, не заявлена поддержка Netflix 4K. <br /><br />L8400 является более дешевой моделью без системы местного затемнения, но с сохранением большинства других функций, в том числе приложений Smart TV, HDMI 2.0 и декодирования HEVC, что делает его дееспособным Ultra HD TV по сравнению с некоторыми конкурентами.  <br />65-дюймовый Toshiba L9400 (65L9400U) продается (в США) за $ 3025, а 58-дюймовый L8400 (58L8400U) там же доступен за $ 1600.
