Теперь поступили сообщения о том, что Sharp подписал соглашения со словацкой компанией Universal Media Corporation и турецкой компанией VESTEL  о сотрудничестве в производстве и продаже продукции Sharp в Европе, правда это касается крупной бытовой техники.<br /><br />А бизнес по производству телевизоров Sharp, являющийся частью аудиовизуального бизнеса компании в Европе, будет выделен и лицензия с правом производства телевизоров под маркой Sharp для европейцев теперь будет предоставлена компании UMC. Кроме того, японский производитель обсуждает возможные варианты продажи UMC польского завода SMPL (Sharp Manufacturing Poland Sp. zo.o.) по производству телевизоров.<br /><br />Видно Sharp надоело нести убытки от европейских продаж, которые составляют всего лишь 5% в общем объеме реализуемой по всему миру продукции. Не стоит волноваться потребителям аудиотехники Sharp, она по-прежнему будет поставляться в Европу с предприятий Sharp в юго-восточной Азии и продаваться через UMC.<br /><br />Тем не менее Sharp активизирует свою деятельность в Европе по продаже коммерческой продукции, включая документальный бизнес с акцентом на цифровые многофункциональные принтеры, коммерческие информационные дисплеи и энергетический бизнес. Компания продолжит проектировать и строить солнечные электростанции, устанавливать другое производственное электронное оборудование.<br /><br />Примерно 3000 сотрудников телевизионного подразделения Sharp в Европе будут уволены. Реструктуризация убыточного европейского бизнеса обойдется Sharp примерно в 10 млрд. иен ($ 90,7 млн.) дополнительных потерь. Компания намерена сосредоточиться на Юго-Восточной Азии и других прибыльных рынках.
