Симпатичная, лежачая аудиоколонка KEF R50 со скошенной передней панелью  имеет направленную вверх диаграмму излучения и позволяет заменить укрепляемую на потолке акустическую систему за счет диаграммы излучения, которая обеспечивает исходящие сверху отраженные звуковые волны и соответствующие эффекты звуковой панорамы, исходящие как бы сверху.<br /><br />KEF R50 является одной из первых специализированных аудио колонок, предназначенных для использования в составе домашних систем Dolby Atmos. Так, при использовании усилителя Onkyo TX-NR636, с помощью KEF R50 можно создать аудиосистему в формате 5.1.4 или 5.1.2. В качестве излучателя звука в KEF R50 использован динамик KEF Uni-Q серии R. Оригинальная акустическая система совмещает 25-мм ВЧ головку и широкополосный СЧ / НЧ динамик со 130-мм диффузором. Диапазон излучаемых частот KEF R50 составляет: 105-18 500 Гц, при звуковом давлении 85 дБ.
