Тонкий и легкий, он также полностью защищен от последствий падений и ударов. Воспроизводимое черно-белое изображение поддерживает 256 оттенков серого и видео с частотой 30 кадров в секунду. Вскоре ожидается и цветной вариант этого OLED дисплея, который компания продвигает как AMOLED. На что можно заметить, что сегодня практически все дисплеи относятся к типу AMOLED, так как используют встроенную в матрицу систему управления отдельными пикселями. <br /><br />Сегодня на рынке уже много OLED продуктов, рекламируемых как гибкие. Но гибкость их условная. К примеру смартфоны LG G Flex и Samsung Galaxy, не говоря уже о "гибких" телевизорах. Plastic Logic пытается вывести на рынок первые по-настоящему гибкие OLED панели, производимые полностью из пластмассы. Панели предназначены в первую очередь для носимых устройств, таких как Smart часы.<br /><br />Британские инженеры уже разрабатывают цветную версию, что потребует определенного времени. Несомненно, это перспективное решение, плюс относительно дешевое в производстве, что в будущем позволит открыть новые возможности для носимых устройств. Однако, такие гиганты, как Samsung или LG, конечно, не будут смотреть на это молча.
