Компания ожидает, что в первой половине 2015 года продажи достигнут 10 миллионов штук.<br /><br />Вместо добавления в традиционную смарт платформу все новых интеллектуальных функций, которыми все равно мало кто пользуется, компания LG решила переработать концепцию интеллектуального телевизора, сделав ее более доступной для обычного пользователя. Чему призвана помочь WebOS.<br /><br />Компания LG купила WebOS у HP в начале 2013 года, и трансформировала эту операционную систему для смартфонов и планшетов в полноценную телевизионную.
