Есть два наиболее значительные изменения (по крайней мере из тех, что появились на сегодняшний день). Первое касается поддержки MPEG-DASH. Эта технология адаптирует битрейт под условия сетевых потоков, автоматически оптимизируя  все настройки. Технология DTCP-IP (Digital Transmission Content Protection по интернет-протоколу) определяют используемое устройство, обеспечивая защиту контента. Это, очевидно, одна из форм защиты для провайдеров платных услуг, которые смогут воспользоваться новой версии DLNA VOD (видео по запросу) для 2D и 3D. Программная составляющая будет использовать HTML 5, обеспечивая разработку унифицированных интерфейсов для упрощения и ускорения приложений.<br /><br />Сертификация DLNA CVP-2 начнется в сентябре, и поэтому, вероятно, что финальная версия будет готова к выставке CES 2015.
