Американская компания также является основным акционером Onkyo. <br /><br />По соглашению между голландской компанией и Gibson, Philips получает за WOOX наличными около 135 миллионов долларов. При этом Gibson также получит права на эксплуатации торгового знака, после оплаты лицензии на первоначальный период в 7 лет (подобный контракт был заключен между Philips и TP Vision при продаже ТВ подразделения). Завершение сделки ожидается во второй половине 2014 года.<br /><br />Таким образом, Philips окончательно уходит с рынка потребительской электроники, чтобы сосредоточить внимание на других подразделениях, которые становятся теперь "основой бизнеса" компании. По заявлению президента Philips Франса ван Хаутена, голландская становится одной из ведущих на рынках товаров для здравоохранения и экологичного жилища.<br />
