Этот саундбар имеет ряд примечательных особенностей. В отличие от многих других подобных компактных аудиосистем, здесь, по сути, используется реальная  5.1-канальная конфигурация с отдельными динамиками, поэтому не требуется технология искусственного создания недостающих каналов для виртуального объемного звучания. В Panasonic SC-HTB880EG встроен фирменный усилитель второго поколения LincsD-Amp, способный развивать выходную мощность до 50 Вт на канал, плюс 250 Вт выдает сабвуфер, что в общей сложности составляет 500 Вт (конечно, это заявленная мощность и к этим показателям стоит отнестись критически).<br /><br />У SC-HTB880EG есть два входа и один выход HDMI, которые способны обеспечивать сквозную передачу 4К видеосигналов. Имеется оптический цифровой аудио вход для подключения источников звука. Обеспечено беспроводное подключение к источникам звука через Bluetooth с поддержкой aptX.
