BD-S477 не обладает достаточно широким набором интерфейсов, но предлагает расширенные мультимедийные возможности. Можно подключить плеер к интернету через Ethernet или Wi-Fi. С помощью специального приложения можно управлять плеером  через дисплей смартфона или планшета на базе Android или iOS, а также имеется возможность совместно управлять и ресивером  Yamaha. <br /><br />Через порт USB или из сети допускается воспроизведение многих типов файлов, в том числе аудио высокого разрешения (HR аудио) FLAC и ALAC с частотой дискретизации до 192 кГц  при 24 бит. <br /><br />Поддерживаются следующие форматы:<br />- Видео: MKV с H.264, MPEG PS, MPEG TS, MPEG-4, VOB, AVI, ASF, WMV, AVCHD <br />- Аудио: MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, ALAC<br />- Изображения: JPEG, GIF, PNG.<br /><br />BD-S477 также обеспечивает полную совместимость с технологией Miracast, для зеркального копирования видео на большой телеэкран с дисплеев совместимых портативных устройств. Разрешение воспроизводимых видеоматериалов может повышаться до 1080p, с поддержкой xvColour и Deep Colour.<br /><br />BD-S477 обладает базовыми интерфейсными возможностями. На передней панели находится один из двух USB портов, второй расположен сзади, там же есть разъем для подключения к сети  и выход HDMI 1.4.<br />Официальная стоимость Yamaha BD-S477 пока не известна, предполагаемая – около 239 евро.<br />
