Легкий, компактный модуль для съемки может легко крепиться к любой части тела, к шлему или сумке. <br />Основной блок весит примерно 119 грамм с системой питания и 1,5-дюймовым ЖК дисплеем, подключается к съемочному модулю с помощью кабеля, а модуль для съемки весит только 31 грамм. <br /><br />Panasonic HX-A500 позволяет выполнять подводные съемки на глубине до 3 метров  и в условиях сильного запыления в течение 30 минут. Panasonic HX-A500 имеет встроенный Wi-Fi и поддерживает технологию NFC для упрощенного соединения со смартфонами и планшетами.<br /><br />Через приложение Panasonic Image App вы можете записывать и редактировать видео удаленно, поделиться своими творениями с помощью социальных сетей, а также транслировать их в прямом эфире, используя UStream.<br /><br />Panasonic HX-A500 оснащен новым новым высокочувствительным датчиком BSI  и видеопроцессором Crystal Engine Pro+, что обеспечивает запись 4K видео  со скоростью 25 кадров в секунду.<br /><br />Функции Levelling Correction и Image Stabilisation упростят процесс съемки и обработки снятого материала, максимально сократят размытие в кадре. Новая функция замедленного воспроизведения означает, что HX-A500 также идеально подходит для съемки спортивных состязаний: 200 кадров в секунду (848x480); 100 кадров в секунду (1280x720) или 50 кадров в секунду(1920x1080) .
