"Paramount" является первой крупной голливудской студией, полностью завершившей переход на цифровые методы производства. Фильм «Волк с Уолл-стрита" стал первой кинокартиной, сделанной исключительно в цифровом формате DCP.

Это, конечно, не секрет, что голливудские студии хотят попрощаться с традиционной системой распространения кинокартин и, хотя большинство из новых фильмов распросраняются в цифровом формате (DCP 2K, 4K или 2K 3D), производится еще и большое количество пленочных копий даже в 35 мм формате.

В Соединенных Штатах почти завершен переход на цифровое проецирование, только 8% кинотеатров оборудованы еще аналоговыми проекторами. Примеру Paramount в ближайшее время последуют и другие киностудии, что ускорит переход немногих оставшихся поклонников настоящего кино в "аналоге" на цифровой формат распространения фильмов.
