Samsung заявляет что ему удобнее резать сходящие с конвейера ЖК пластины на 48-дюймовые панели, на 46-дюймовые.<br /><br />С 2014 года Samsung полностью переходит на 48 дюймовые экраны  вместо 46 дюймов. 48-дюймовые модели ЖК телевизоров демонстрировала уже и Sony. Компания LG перешла на 47-дюймовые экраны. Подобные планы озвучивали ранее также тайваньские и китайские производители ЖК панелей. Таким образом 46-дюймовые телевизоры уже вскоре исчезнут с магазинных полок.
