Этот фильм примечателен пока лишь тем, что деньги на съемки в размере $5,7 млн. были собраны за счет взносов фанатов на специальном сайте для популярных проектов - Kickstarter. <br /><br />В 2013 году создатель сериала Роб Томас обратился к продюсерам студии Warner с предложением снять полнометражный фильм. Руководство студии согласилось, но поставило условие - собрать необходимые для съёмок фильма 2 миллиона долларов за месяц. Томас и Кристен Белл (исполнительница главной роли в сериале и фильме) обратились к фанатам сериала, и всего за десять часов было собрано $5 702 153. Что стало третьим по сумме проектом на Kickstarter.<br /><br />Зрители, поддержавшие фильм, смогут загрузить его цифровую копию уже через несколько дней после премьеры.
