Дизайн практически не изменился по сравнению с предыдущими мониторами BenQ.<br /><br />В новых мониторах использована т. н. стробоскопическая подсветка, хотя BenQ воздерживается от использования этого термина и на собственном сайте называет ее "Motion Blur Reduction". Такая подсветки ЖК панели мерцает в процессе работы, что уменьшает размытость изображения во время игры.<br /><br />Оба монитора поддерживают разрешением 1920x1080 пикселей, частоту обновления 144 Гц, имеют время отклика 1 мс (G2G), контрастность 1000:1 и яркость 350 кд/кв.м. BenQ также подчеркивает использование технологии мерцания (мерцание подсветки может отключаться для обычного использования) светодиодной подсветки. <br /><br />Оба монитора используют панели типа TN, которые часто применяются в игровых мониторах. Основные различия между ними в деталях конструкции, в XL2420Z есть хаб USB 2.0, XL2411Z имеет порт HDMI, а XL2420Z использует DVI  и D-SUB (VGA). <br /><br />27-дюймовый XL2720Z ожидается в январе 2014 года, а мониторы XL2411Z и XL2420Z  должны появиться вслед за ним. Цены на новые мониторы BenQ пока еще не объявлены.
