Несмотря на трудности, Intel продолжает  совершенствовать свой интерфейс, компания готова представить некоторые из новых функций, которые появятся в интерфейсе с 2014 года. <br /><br />Первой новинкой является введение контроллера для управления током потребления для питания внешних устройств. В 2014 году, как ожидается, будет интегрирован лишь временный вариант контроллера, а в 2015 году появится вариант с полной функциональностью. Таким образом, вы сможете обмениваться не только файлами (очень высокая скорость), но и подключать к сети такие устройства, как принтеры. Это будет что-то вроде альтернативы подключения Ethernet с преимуществом высокой скорости передачи данных (до 20 Гбит). Более подробные сведения могут быть объявлены  на выставке CES 2014.
