C этой целью Toshiba решила прекратить производство телевизоров в дочерней компании Dalian Toshiba Television  (DLTV), закрыв к концу нынешнего года телевизионный завод в Китае. <br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-12/1385999565_toshiba.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2013-12/1385999565_toshiba.jpg" alt="Toshiba закрывает телевизионный завод в Китае" title="Toshiba закрывает телевизионный завод в Китае"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />Toshiba заявляет при этом, что телевизоры, ранее изготавливаемые DLTV для японского рынка теперь будут изготавливаться и разрабатываться сторонними производителя original design manufacturer (ODM). Телевизоры Toshiba для китайского рынка в дальнейшем будут изготавливаться в партнерстве с местными производителями. Toshiba планирует оптимизировать баланс между собственным производством и производством с помощью ODM партнеров. <br /><br />Ранее Toshiba объявила о передаче компании Compal права собственности на польский телевизионный завод, закрытие DLTV является заключительным этапом реструктуризации ТВ бизнеса Toshiba. Основанная в июле 1996 года компания Dalian Toshiba Television производила ЖК телевизоры Toshiba со средней и большой диагональю экрана.
