Покупателями выступили Panasonic и Lapis Semiconductor, которые являются в Японии крупнейшими производителями полупроводниковых драйверов (систем управления) для дисплеев.<br /><br />Японская CerebrEX занимается разработкой полупроводниковых контроллеров, включая чипы для дисплеев. Новая технология Cool Pepper ориентирована на дисплеи высокого разрешения (Full HD или выше) в таких мобильных устройствах, как планшетные компьютеры. Она использует для передачи данных между чипом контроллера и дисплеем специальный драйвер.<br /><br />CerebrEX надеется на распространение Cool Pepper и планирует заняться лицензированием этой технологии, хотя такая стратегия и увеличивает количество конкурентов, говорится в сообщении компании. "По мере увеличения количества поддерживающих Cool Pepper производителей ЖК панелей и систем управления к ним, будет происходить распространение интерфейса. И это даст нам большие преимущества, потому что система становится стандартом де-факто ".
