При этом Sony полностью переработала всю конструкцию прежних моделей от шасси до OLED панели, от системы обработки сигналов до используемых материалов. Сократилось и энергопотребление, в мониторе PVM-A250 на 9 %, а в  PVM-A170 на 14 %. <br /><br />Утопленные вглубь корпуса интерфейсные разъемы таким образом защищены от случайных повреждений. Для предохранения корпуса и панели можно использовать и дополнительную защиту с угловыми накладками. Защитный комплект позволит также защитить экран от внешних засветок. Пользователь сможет обновлять функциональные возможности мониторов заменой прошивки через интернет. <br /><br />Новые OLED мониторы Sony будут доступны с января 2014 года по следующим ценам: $4899,99 за PVM-A170 и $6899,99 за PVM-A250.
