В частности Corning берет полный контроль над совместным предприятием Samsung Corning Precision Materials. Компании Samsung теперь принадлежит только 43 % акций. В обмен, корейская компания получит на $1,9 млрд. привилегированных акций Corning, которые могут быть конвертированы в 7,4 % долю. <br /><br />Компании также заключили сделку, по которой Samsung Display будет поставлять продукцию с использованием стекла  Corning до 2023 года. <br /><br />Защитное стекло Gorilla Glass сегодня используется в большинстве смартфонов и планшетов высокого класса, в том числе сделанных Samsung, Apple, HTC и Motorola.
